T.J. Maxx was founded in the year 1976 and its headquarters is located in Framingham, Massachusetts. This company is also known as simply “TJ” and is a subsidiary of TJX Companies. This is an American chain of department of stores that sells clothing products, ladies footwear, bedding & domestics, furniture and other related products. It has over 900 retail stores in different countries of the world.

Job Descriptions and Wage Averages

Sales Associate: You will sell and discuss details of the available products and services of the company to a wide range of customers. You must help the business to increase its profits as well as to maintain a lasting relationship with the clients. Aside from that, you will also present a report to the department about your activities and other significant matters. The usual pay for this job is $7.91 per hour.

Retail Associate: You will offer polite and quality service to the store customers and must entertain them by answering their questions and other concerns. You must be willing to be trained periodically in order to do better in your work. You will also contribute in generating sales by giving exceptional customer service at all times. The average salary for this job is $8.03 an hour.

Store Manager: You will supervise the daily processes in the store and lead in product inventory as well as the display of products within the store. You will also hire and terminate employees and must regularly supervise their works in order to ensure that each of them is doing their jobs properly. Aside from that, giving the best customer service and providing customer satisfaction is still your sole responsibility. The common salary for this job is $62,750 a year.

Supervisor: You will guide and assist the staff in doing their task and must ensure that each of them is doing their responsibilities well. You will also monitor the flow of service in the store and delegate tasks and order to the staff. Aside from that, you will also help the customers with their recommendations and demands. The average pay for this position is $10.81 per hour.

Cashier: Generally, you will take the money of the customers and give them back their receipt and change. You will also perform cash checks after your shift in order to ensure that there are no lapses between your cash on hand and sales data in the computer. Additional job is to keep your area clean and organized at all times. The average salary for this position is $8.08 an hour.
