Ted’s Montana Grill is a classic American Grill that offers fresh, made-from-scratch comfort food within an authentic turn-of-the-century Montana grill atmosphere. It is founded by Ted Turner and George McKerrow Jr. The first Ted’s Montana Grill was opened in January 2002 in Columbus, Ohio, and at present, it has grown to 46 restaurants in 16 states.
The line of menu includes Certified Angus Beef, National Bison Association-certified bison, chicken and seafood; steaks, meatloaf, crab cakes, pecan-crusted trout, cedar plank salmon, burgers, chicken grills and vegetable sides; fresh-cut fries, hand-dipped salt and pepper onion rings, delicious soups and an array of salads and desserts.
Job Description/Wage Averages
Chef: The Chef prepares the ordered foods, and works as the general manager of the kitchen. He/She will do the scheduling, the hiring and the firing of kitchen staff, as well. The chef hands on in exciting high volume kitchen tasks and works in establishing and enforcing food specifications, portion control, recipes and sanitation as well as control food and labor costs.
Dishwasher: This position ensures that all dishes, glasses, utensils and equipment are cleaned, sanitized and stored in the proper place.
Prep Cook: This person prepares/cooks food for guests. He/She is to ensure that all equipment, utensils and working areas are maintained for cleanliness; coordinate prep amounts with managers, follow recipe instructions, use checklists and prep sheets, and should follow safe food handling guidelines.
Server: This position has the responsibilities of requesting or taking orders from and serve food to guests; checking on guest satisfaction and handling the payment and complaints/concerns of customers. He/She must have the knowledge of service techniques, food product handling practices.
Host/Hostess: This position is in charge of supervising and coordinating the activities in the dining room; manages the personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests; schedules and plans dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners; he is to greet guests, direct them to tables, and provide menus; respond to complaints; ensure prompt and courteous services; inspect dining room serving stations to ensure neatness and cleanliness.
