The Body Shop was founded back in 1976 by Dame Anita Roddick.   Today, they have over 2,400 stores in more than 61 countries throughout the world.   Today, they have over 30,000 employees.   You can find a majority of the Body Shops in a local shopping mall.   Their primary focus is on soaps, lotions and more.

Job Description / Average Wage

Sales Associate: You will help customers when they come into the store.   You will educate them on particular products, as well as make sure that the store is 100% clean.   You will restock items, as well as make sure that there are samples out at all times.   You will also run the cash register, where you will process returns, as well as ring up orders.   The average wage is $7 to $11 a hour.

Sales Lead:   As a sales lead, you’ll be in charge of running the employees that are on that given shift.   On average, the store is going to employ two people per shift.   During the busier seasons, there can be up to four people in the store.   This will greatly come down to the district.   The lead will perform the same jobs as the associates, but will have power to override transactions.   The average wage starts at $9 per hour.

Assistant Manager: You will have to manage the store, when the main manager isn’t around.   You will find that you will work by yourself, or with one person, since the store isn’t that large.   You will do many of the duties that the sales associates do.   You will assist with opening, and closing down the shop.   The average wage is $8 to $12 a hour.

Store Manager:   Overlooking the entire store, you’ll going to be in charge of answering to corporate.   You’re going to help open up the shop as well as close it.   You’ll make sure that everything is running according to plan as well as help with stock, ringing up customers, filing paperwork and attending local meetings.   The average wage starts at $31,000 per year.
