Walmart Manager Salary

A Walmart manager position is a very large position to hold, as most Walmart stores are massive.   You will have many responsibilities, and if you plan on applying for this job, you’re going to need the necessary experience, in order to do so.

You will find that if there is an opening, you will either interview with a district manager, or with a store manager, if you’re applying for a manager position below you.   Listed below are some wages on what you should expect to be paid.

Store Manager

  • Salary: You’re going to be paid on a salary basis.   To start out, as an inexperienced manager, you can start off at $82,000 and make as much as $120,000 a year.
  • Bonuses: Walmart does give its manager incentives.   These bonuses will be based on a lot of factors such as store performance, profit margins, and more.   You can expect to make anywhere from $15,000 to $120,000 in bonuses on a yearly basis.
  • Profit Sharing: Walmart generally doesn’t deal with profit sharing, but in some instances, some Walmart managers have stated that they have received anywhere from $1,000+ a year.
  • Stock Options: Walmart will hand out stock options here and there, but consider it a rare opportunity.

Assistant Manager

  • Salary: You’re going to be paid on a salary basis.   You can start off anywhere from $32,000 to as much as $63,000 a year.
  • Bonuses: While Walmart does hand out bonuses to it’s assistant managers, you will find that they are relatively low.   Expect around $300 to as much as $12,000 a year in expected bonuses.
  • Profit Sharing: Assistant managers generally don’t deal with profit sharing.   On a rare basis, it can be included in your paycheck, but will be around $500 a year on average.
  • Stock Options: Walmart will hand out stock options here and there, but consider it a rare opportunity.

Other Manager Positions

  • Department Manager:   $7 to $17 a hour
  • Support Manager:   $9 to $17 a hour
  • Pharmacy Manager:   $102,000 – $132,000 a year
