WinCo Foods is a little different than your other grocery stores, because you’re going to find that they are owned by the employees, rather than some big wig wall street corporation.   Headquartered in Boise, Idaho, the company name stands for, “Winning Company.”

As of 2010, they operate of 70 stores that are located in Washington, Nevada, California, as well as Oregon, and Idaho.   The first store was opened by in 1967 by Ralph Ward, as well as Bud Williams.   Before they became WinCo Foods, they were also known as Waremart and Cub Foods.   They had changed their name over in 1999.

Job Description / Average Wage

Deli Clerk: You will be responsible for running the deli.   You will process food according the recipe, help customers fill their order, as well as make sure that the entire deli section is 100% clean.   You will find that in your downtime, you will have to clean machines, and more.   The average wage is from $7 to $10 a hour.
